Our Philosophy

Our initial interest in organics was triggered by a personal belief that extensive use of agricultural chemicals was not compatible with a healthy society, healthy environment, or even healthy farmers, triggered our initial interest in organics.​

 

Central to our philosophy of organic agriculture, is the awareness and understanding of the natural systems that make up our environment, particularly in the soil. We use traditional farming methods such as rotational cropping, green manuring, strategic tilling and ley farming, in addition to allowable inputs, animal manure and composts.  As custodians of this special piece of land, our intention is to use the property in a truly sustainable manner and maintain or improve the quality of the land for future generations.​

 

It is our objective to produce and supply high quality certified organic specialty grain products for both domestic and international niche markets, while maintaining a strong focus on environmental and economic sustainability.
